Housebody

The main theme of the residence was «The Body and Physicality». This installation is a metaphor of human body. It is clear and strange outside and full of details, thoughts, bones and blood inside. Human body is a home for spirit and someone can be a visitor and know something personal after visit. For this project Natalia created many different items composing the body in order to fill this house. The installation consists of votive offerings embroidered on polyethylene, two dozen drawings with images on the theme of corporeality, as well as numerous objects: boxes with bones, skulls, arrows, drops of blood, matches, hidden keys from the heart, stones and magic dust, which on its soles visitors carried out of the house. Housebody is a journey into an alien world, both physical and emotional, an attempt to imagine what it is like to take and end up in another person’s crazy world.
